A Fabricator is a construction vehicle or habitation module that allows the player to craft items, furniture, structures and/or vehicles^[1][2]. Fabricators employ blueprints to craft products, the quality of those depending on the quality of the materials employed in the process^[1][2].

Fabricators also allow the upgrade of already existing items, like spaceships, once the suitable blueprint upgrade has been researched^[2].
