Official communications from CIG, referred to as Comm-Links. The Spectrum Dispatch series focus on lore, and specifically samples of things you might find published to media (referred to as the Spectrum) in the game's lore.
Spectrum Distpatches were announced in a Letter from Chris Roberts.[1]
They are released in following series:
- Time Capsule - Lore posts from the kickstarter campaign that describe Human history from now to the in-game year 2942
- Portfolio - Background information on companies, ship and weapons manufacturers, famous fleet units
- Galactic Guide - Guide to Star Citizen's star systems, planets and landing zones
- RSI Museum - A look into the previous games developed by Chris Roberts or released by his companies
- Lore Builder - Once in a while the writers gather the help of the community to further develop the lore of Star Citizen
- News Update - Usually Spectrum media releases like shows, newspaper articles, congress session transcripts, etc.
- Writer's Guide - A series of posts that give a quick and easy summary of lore informations specially provided for fan fiction writers
