Housing Exchanges (sing. Housing Exchange, abbr.: HEX) is a term for prefabricated basic facilities and settlements usually used in the first phases of system colonization. They are built on frontier systems and other extreme places like asteroids to provide living space and infrastructure for a short amount of time. The first HEX was built by Everline Structures, but their design has been imitated by other corporations.[1]
