Dolivine is a green colored mineral found in small-scale rock deposits. In its natural state, it most often occurs as dark green bands in rocks. Some deposits can be mined with a handheld mining tool, while others need at least the power of a size 0 mining laser. It can be found on both planetary surfaces or attached to asteroids.[1]
A dull green gemstone that is used decoratively but also can be used for industrial purposes thanks to its resistance to weathering and high density.[2]
Dolivine came to prominence as a gemstone after Imperator Illyana Messer VI wore a 45 carat dolivine brooch to her niece Astrid’s wedding in 2690.[3]
