A Galaxy egy moduláris többfunkciós hajó, amelyet a Roberts Space Industries gyárt.[1] FA sokoldalúságra összpontosítva a Galaxy képes a legénységét úgy felszerelni, hogy bármilyen feladatot el tudjon látni a 'Verse-ben.

Jellemzők

  • Moduláris felépítés: A Galaxy alváza egy konfigurálható középső tér köré épül, amely támogatja a cserélhető modulokat, lehetővé téve számodra és a legénységed számára, hogy a legkülönbözőbb szakmai szerepeket töltsön be.
  • Hangár: A Galaxy egyik legfontosabb jellemzője a hátsó hangár, amely egy 'XX-kisméretű' leszállóhelyet tartalmaz. A hangár egy összekötő ajtóval rendelkezik a moduláris térrel. A hangár 64 SCU rakomány számára is helyet biztosít. A 64 SCU rakományrácsok a hangár szélén elhelyezett 2x32 rácsok, amelyek nem zavarják a hangár metrikáját, így egy XXS hajó és 64 SCU egyszerre tárolható[2].
  • Legénység elhelyezése: A járművet úgy tervezték, hogy hatfős legénységgel működjön, mindegyiküknek saját szobája van, a kapitánynak saját készenléti szobája van. Van egy étkező és egy pihenőszoba biliárdasztallal a kikapcsolódáshoz.
  • Fegyverek: Három távoli toronnyal (mindegyik két Size 5 ágyúval felszerelve), valamint két Size 4 rakétakilövő ponttal (mindegyik négy Size 2 rakétát hordoz), a Galaxy keményen vissza tud csapni, ha szükséges.

Modulok

Cargo Module for vastly increasing the Galaxy's cargo capacity by adding 512 SCU of cargo[3]. It also includes a cargo lift able to hold two 32-SCU containers or a vehicle up to and including the RSI Ursa in size[2]. 70.00
Med Bay Proper medical facility with dedicated beds and easy access through a lift or the rear hangar. In three separated rooms, it has one Tier 1 bed for major injuries, two Tier 2 beds for moderate injuries and three Tier 3 beds for minor injuries. It is important to note that the Galaxy does not has a medical room of it's own and if installed this would be the only medical installation onboard[2]. 90.00
Refinery Refinery system to load and unload from Prospectors and other mining ships. This module adds 2 refinery reactors. The Galaxy refinery module has both storage for raw and refined materials (outside of just saddlebag storage like the Expanse) as well as two reactors that are much larger than the Expanse’s. So, while it can run fewer simultaneous jobs, it can process much larger quantities per job and store them after[2]. 80.00

CIG have stated that they hope to have more modules types in the future including one dedicated to manufacturing items.

Development

The Galaxy was first spotted publicly in the files of the Alpha 3.17.4 PTU build.[1] Information about the ship appeared in a leak in early November and was officially mentioned in the Intergalactic Aerospace Expo 2952 day 5 video.[5]
