On 2018-06-14, shortly after the design of the Vulture was revealed, players and fans of EVE Online pointed out the similarity between the two ships and accused CI of copying the design on EVE's subreddit,[7] while CI developers said that the ship was inspired by the Dragonfly.[8] The rivalry escalated with redditors brigading both the EVE Online and Star Citizen subreddits, to the point that even EVE developer CCP tweeted about it.[9][10]
