Fejlesztés

  • A Vulture először 2017-12-01-én mutatkozott be a "TE választod a következő Drake hajót" szavazáson. A támogatók 37696 szavazó 44%-a szavazott rá, hogy ez legyen a következő Drake hajó..[1] A hajó 2018-06-14-én került értékesítésre.[9]
  • John Crewe (Főtervező), Toby Lewin (Hajó tervező), Aleks Akstinas (Hajó tervező), and Paul Jones (Art igazgató) a hajó tervezésének kulcsfontosságú tényezői.[10]
  • Megjelenés a kiadás előtt: A 2950-es évek során Drake Defensecon, a hajó ki volt állítva a Riker Memorial Spaceport in Area18. Ita modell lekicsinyített holografikus megjelenítésével ábrázolták.l.Alpha 3.9.1 játékon belüli felmérés a Drake Defensecon 2021. május 5-én kiderült, hogy a Vulture gyártásban van, és 18 hetes ütemtervvel kerül a játékba.

Trivia

  • A Vulture némi hasonlóságot mutat az EVE Online Venture hajójával. 2018-06-14-én, nem sokkal azután, hogy a Vulture dizájnját felfedték, az EVE Online játékosai és rajongói rámutattak a két hajó közötti hasonlóságra, és az EVE subredditen azzal vádolták a CI-t, hogy lemásolta a dizájnt,[11] míg a CI fejlesztői azt mondták, hogy a hajót a Dragonfly.[12] A rivalizálás az EVE Online és a Star Citizen alredditeket is feldúlta, és odáig fajult, hogy még az EVE fejlesztője, a CCP is tweetelt róla.[13][14]
